Clarke and 18 others, including Virginia Gov. Mark Warner (D), spoke at the third Networked Economy Summit in Reston, hosted by George Mason University. They focused on using technology to meet security challenges, because of its implications on both private and public organizations, said Bradford C. Brown, chairman of the university's National Center for Technology and Law. The summit continues today, with speakers including Timothy J. Muris, chairman of the Federal Trade Commission, and Rudolph W. Giuliani, former mayor of New York.
