PhpMyAdmin was vulnerable to an SQL injection attack through the designer feature.
Resolution
All phpMyAdmin users should upgrade to the latest version:
# emerge --sync
# emerge --ask --oneshot --verbose ">=dev-db/phpmyadmin-4.9.2"
