Resolution
All Apache Tomcat 7.x users should upgrade to the latest version:

All Apache Tomcat 8.x users should upgrade to the latest version:
# emerge --sync
# emerge --ask --oneshot --verbose ">=www-servers/tomcat-8.5.55"
