iproute2 was found to contain a use-after-free in get_netnsid_from_name in ip/ipnetns.c.
Resolution
All iproute2 users should upgrade to the latest version:
# emerge --sync
# emerge --ask --oneshot --verbose ">=sys-apps/iproute2-5.1.0"
