Summary
A security issue affects these releases of Ubuntu and its derivatives: - Ubuntu 20.04 LTS (Available with Ubuntu Pro) Summary: Pydantic could be made to crash if it received specially crafted input. Software Description: - pydantic: Data validation using Python type hints. Details: Nina Jensen discovered that Pydantic incorrectly handled user input in the date and datetime fields. An attacker could possibly use this issue to cause a denial of service via application crash. (CVE-2021-29510)
Update Instructions
The problem can be corrected by updating your system to the following package versions: Ubuntu 20.04 LTS (Available with Ubuntu Pro): python3-pydantic 1.2-1ubuntu0.1~esm1 In general, a standard system update will make all the necessary changes.
