Summary
A security issue affects these releases of Ubuntu and its derivatives: - Ubuntu 23.10 - Ubuntu 23.04 - Ubuntu 22.04 LTS - Ubuntu 20.04 LTS - Ubuntu 18.04 LTS (Available with Ubuntu Pro) - Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Available with Ubuntu Pro) Summary: w3m could be made to crash or run programs as your login if it opened a malicious website. Software Description: - w3m: WWW browsable pager with excellent tables/frames support Details: It was discovered that w3m incorrectly handled certain HTML files. An attacker could possibly use this issue to cause a crash or execute arbitrary code.
